Wing Head – Application and Database Security (VP/SVP)
Reporting to: Chief Information Security Officer
Govt Jobs, Educational/Professional Qualification: Minimum Graduation or equivalent (Preference for Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science/Information Systems/ Information Technology/Technology Engineering or relevant professional certifications)
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Information Security, including 4 years in managing/monitoring application and/or database security
Other Skills/Expertise/ Knowledge Required:
Sound knowledge of Information Security function
Familiarity with SBP guidelines regarding Information Security
Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the application security program and recommend secure architecture of applications
Supervise application security control assessment, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing
Establish the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) process and collaborate with stakeholders
Advise on improving Information Security policies, procedures, and standards
Oversee due diligence and security baselining of new application/database acquisitions
Contribute to cyber defense at the application layer and execute Information Security strategy
Ensure timely coordination and response to audits and regulatory requirements
Plan yearly road map and budgets related to application/database security

Educational/Professional Qualification: Minimum Graduation or equivalent (Preference for Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science/Information System/ Information Technology/Technology Engineering or relevant professional certifications)
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Information Security, preferably in internet application security review
Other Skills/Expertise/Knowledge Required:
Good interpersonal skills
Team player with ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
Awareness of cyber security monitoring and detection tools
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Assess web application architecture components and vulnerabilities
Provide expertise on common internet attacks and fraud prevention
Document web security-related information and incident response plans
Ensure Swift CSP (Customer Security Program) KYC (Know-Your Customer) Compliance
Implement security protocols and controls
Contribute to the deployment of application security testing tools
Investigate and resolve security incidents
Monitor and evaluate security policies against standards and laws
Perform any other assigned tasks by supervisors
